Silage is a corrosive liquid and all Calona silage tanks are fitted with a chemical-resistant isophthalic liner which protects the GRP shell of the tank.

Calona silage tanks comply with BS4994:1987 which is the British Standard for the Specification for the design and construction of vessels and tanks in reinforced plastics. Calona silage tanks are supplied with pedestrian duty man lids as standard. Silage tanks only have an inlet and do not have an outlet so the liquid or waste stored inside them is either removed by tanker or pumped out.

Backfill:

Concrete backfill tanks MUST be installed with a concrete surround. Granular backfill tanks can be backfilled with either granular material or concrete subject to suitable ground conditions. Please see our installation instructions for more information.

High-Level Alarm:

As all silage tanks need emptying when they are full, a high-level alarm warns you that the tank needs emptying before it overflows or the waste backs up the pipework.

Delivery:

FREE delivery of this product includes the UK Mainland but excludes Highlands and offshore locations and is also subject to suitable access for a large goods vehicle. This product is delivered to the kerbside.
