Description
Manufactured by Nicholson Plastics this AB Air Gap CAT 5 one-piece insulated cold water storage tank is manufactured from long-lasting, hard-wearing and easy-to-clean GRP. It is also WRAS-approved for the storage of potable water (potable water is suitable for human consumption). Insulation is fitted to the lid and sides of the tank and it is supplied as standard with a sealed & insulated lid and screened air inlet vent.
Type AB Air Gap (or CAT 5 tanks as they are also known) provide backflow protection to prevent contaminants from entering the public water supply. The tank is fitted with a raised ball valve chamber which incorporates an AB air gap and
400mm access lid for inlet valve maintenance.
GRP tank products are manufactured from non-corrosive materials to the requirements of BS EN 13280:2001, incorporating the quality control requirements of ISO 9001:2015, and are WRAS approved.
Internal surfaces in contact with the fluid are smooth isophthalic gel-coated with a high gloss finish to improve resistance to bacteriological growth.
