Description
The Harlequin range of Commercial Sewage Treatment Plants are designed to provide a high standard of effluent quality for the discharge of treated effluent to a watercourse (or drainage field). All plants within this range are manufactured using a strong and robust Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) material and benefit from a 10 Yr tank warranty.
Each plant is fitted with a super quiet linear diaphragm pump or side channel blower (depending upon the unit size) and utilises a unique Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) to clean the sewage water to an extremely high level before it is discharged from the plant.
Sizing commercial sewage treatment plants can be tricky, so if you need any help at all, please contact us or call 0117 244 4099 so one of our sales team can assist you. As one of Harlequin's largest online resellers, we are able to arrange site visits for you with a member of the Harlequin Wastewater Team who can give you expert product advice.

How it Works:
Primary Settlement:
Wastewater flows into the primary chamber. The solid matter then settles to the bottom of the chamber where anaerobic bacteria break them down
Aeration Chamber:
Clarified water then enters the aeration chamber where it is mixed with freely moving plastic media that support large bacterial populations. As the water comes into contact with the media it is purified by micro-organisms growing on the surface. This chamber is continuously aerated by a fine bubble diffuser which provides oxygen to feed the bacteria. The bubble air diffuser positioned at the bottom of the aeration chamber ensures that the media is always moving freely.
Final Settlement Chamber
The treated water finally flows through into a smaller final settlement chamber where any microscopic levels of suspended solids are collected via. a sludge return and transferred back to the primary settlement chamber. From here the completely treated water will be discharged back into the environment either directly to a watercourse or a drainage field.

Outlet:
This sewage treatment plant is supplied as standard as a gravity discharge where the final effluent runs downhill to the water course (or drainage field) or where you need a pumped outlet if the effluent needs to be pumped uphill to a watercourse (or drainage field) we would recommend you purchase a suitable Harlequin final effluent pump station.
Invert Depth:
The standard invert depth of this sewage treatment plant is 900mm however deeper inverts are available upon request and at an additional cost up to a maximum of 1.7m. If required, please call 0117 244 4099 so one of our sales team can help with your enquiry
