The Fuelstop TFV is suitable for use with Class C and D fuels (Heating Oil, Keroscene and Gas Oil or Diesel) as well as LPG and provides automatic shut off in the event of an overheat within a fuel burning appliance and fail safe shut off in the event of capillary or sensor failure.
There are 3 key parts of the Fuelstop TFV, the valve body (1) which is installed outside the external wall of the property. The capillary (2) runs from the valve to the valve body to the sensor (3) which is located in the casing of the appliance.
This Fuelstop TFV is manufactured to shut off in the temperature range of 66 to 72°C
Fuelstop TFV's are OFTEC approved as they comply with OFTEC OFS E101 and have OFCERT Nos of 14102/1/2.
All Fuelstop valves are supplied with 3/8" F Threads and connectors including olives to suit 10mm OD copper oil line pipe.
Installation:
- Position the valve in accordance with BS5410 (Parts 1 and 2) and any other current legislation or guidelines.
- Install the valve in an upright position. Unroll the capillary to prevent twisting and fix the phial inside the appliance casing at a point recommended by the appliance manufacturer. Where the burner is outside the casing, the phial should be fixed between 600 and 100mm directly above the burner.
- Support the valve hexagon when tightening tube nuts. DO NOT HOLD THE VALVE HEAD, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE VALVE CONNECTIONS.
- Support the capillary along its length and sleeve through walls as necessary to prevent abrasion or damage and neatly coil any spare capillary to a minimum diameter of 80mm.
- TRV Fire Valves are factory calibrated; there are NO serviceable parts, do not attempt to dismantle.
